First we want to thank you for your votes in the finals!!! (www.googleidol.com) 
We have a sad message for you all! Today, we removed our videos (except for Respect, which is still in the run for Google Idol). We have different reasons for this. We hope you'll understand!
This all started for fun, and we still consider it as one big joke. We never planned to get this famous. This was a fantastic experience for both of us, but now it's getting so much with all the media and stuff, just one big hype. Of course we would still love to win google idol, that would be the perfect way to end this all. We hope you respect that!
For the people who already downloaded our videos from google video, please don't put them on the internet again.We have our reasons for getting them off, so we hope you understand and respect our choice. So people, don't put our videos on the internet again. That's also the reason why we didn't anounce this, because we were afraid that everyone would download them and put them online again. Then it wouldnt be necessary for us to remove them ourselves 
Other than that, now we're still original, but everyone is making their one videos now, so we don't want to end like old ladies without any fans 
. Its better to quit now, when we're still original and get lots of great and positive reactions, instead of when this 'hype' is over and thén quit – because nobody likes us anymore.
So much has happenend in just 2,5 months! When we uploaded our videos, we'd NEVER expected all this to happen. We've been on television, radio, in newspapers, all over the world!!! We have had over half a million visitors in just 2 months on our website, and we are in the finals of Google Idol!Please keep on voting for us on www.googleidol.com ! We would love to win, because that would be the perfect way to end this all for us!
Finally, thanks everybody for the support, comments, emails, hundredthousands of pageviews in the last months! Without you all we wouldn't have had so much fun !!!

Aan 1 kant is het erg jammer, maar het was geweldig zolang het duurde…
Aan de andere kant snap ik ze echt volledig, het moet een geweldige verrassing geweest zijn, en naderhand moet het heel eng zijn geweest om zoveel al dan niet serieuze fans/stalkers te krijgen voor iets dat begon als eenvoudige grap.
Het vereist moed om ermee te stoppen op je hoogtepunt, en de meiden zijn nu dus dan ook enkel in mijn achting gestegen. Het is jammer dat deze (naar mijn mening toch erg leuke) topicreeks nu afloopt, maar ik hoop dat we Pomme en Kelly nu als normale users kunnen verwelkomen.
Het minste wat de mensen die ze hebben lopen afzeiken kunnen doen is nu uit respect gewoon op ze stemmen zodat ze de finale ook echt dik winnen, want dat verdienen ze.

Pitty. Gaan jullie met jullie ‘beroemdheid’ nog wel wat doen? Het is zonde om het te laten varen, naar mijn idee (probeer iets constructiefs te doen met TV oid, weet zeker dat er wel leuke dingen te bedenken zijn).
Ik heb zelf ooit het idee gehad om jullie te benaderen om een filmpje te schieten (langer dan 2:59
) samen met wat vrienden van mij en jullie. Jullie zijn immers dol komisch en vinden het lachen om op een filmpje te komen. Maar heb er maar af gezien toen bleek dat jullie plots toch wel erg beroemd werden (+ aanbiedingen kregen van grote media, dat ik het idee had dat jullie dat boeiender zouden vinden). Aanbod staat natuurlijk altijd, via deze weg, nog.

Waarom zou je er last mee krijgen bij een sollicitatie? Het is toch niet iets om je voor te schamen? Integendeel het zijn hele leuke, frisse en onschuldige filmpjes! Er wordt trouwens op bedrijfsfeesten ook veel aan Karaoke gedaan en aan een heleboel andere meligheid. Niets mis mee hoor en zelfs de directeur doet mee.

I’m very suprised by this decision to remove your videos from the sites. I think I know why exactly you quit, but I think you both are very talented women and this whole video making to you might be a big hype or joke, but I think its a hidden talent stepping its way out step by step. I really hope the both of you pursue in acting as a form of career. Improv acting is for you for sure. Well its indeed very sad that you wish to quit. I hope you will continue to be creative and lots of luck to your school and future careers in acting.

I dunno guys, I really liked your videos. They were so much fun, in fact they’re probably some of the best music videos ever. I’m sure you’ll do well in life with whatever you do but you might consider taking this a little farther. This could be your inroad to fame and fortune as in a real life acting or singing career, as in millions in the bank and retire rich by age 25. Maybe you should talk to a show business agent and see if you can get something more out of this. You have genuine talent, it shows in your videos. It would be a shame to throw it all away and go into hiding.

Please realize that if you do this, your fame will end at this point and you will probably NEVER have the chance again. So, it is almost certainly a one-way ride. If you do not continue, you will regret this later in your life blaming yourself that you did not go on.
I’m not encouraging you to become lifetime celebrities, but I am encouraging you to explore the whole thing a bit more. Given the level of attention generated, it’s not too difficult to imagine the potential downsides.
Well done, girls. Your actions are to be commended in this day and age of crass attention seeking by so many wanna-be’s.

Verstandige beslissing! Stoppen op een hoogtepunt is altijd het beste wat je kunt doen. En ik denk dat de originaliteit snel zal vervliegen. Wees in ieder geval verzekerd: jullie waren (een van) de eersten die op deze manier bekend zijn geworden op via internet.
Ik zat vanochtend mijn ontbijt te eten hier in Dallas, Texas, USA en jullie zijn zelfs voorbij gekomen op CBS. Dat is dus een van de grootste cablenetworks van de Verenigde Staten en ze hadden een leuk artikel over “Google Idol”. Waar jullie natuurlijk niet in ontbraken!

I didn’t bother commenting before but I thought it best to show some appreciation now. I thought all the videos were a great laugh and I’m sure probably a lot better than the original music videos or whatever (those things are always sooo boring). Anyway, at risk of being sycophantic, I endorse much of the positive comment above. They were certainly the best thing to grace Google Video that I know of. You both obviously have acting skills and a good sense of humour (and a lot of postiive tenacity and confidence to put them on the WWW).
Also, assuming the videos were removed because you guys genuinely didn’t want them up there or got bored of/didn’t like the publicity, then I commend you on taking your corageous decision despite what others may say.
However, with your hints that there were other reasons, forgive me for harbouring a suspicion that, as I believe others have implied above, you may have given in to blackmail, bribery or barratry (or something else unlawful or immoral) by the various well-known and related hegemonous protection and extortion racketeers in the less savoury parts of the music industry. If this is the case, I would point out (and you are free to ignore me) that most people would consider any involvement in such activities (particularly were you choose to keep the immoral activity a secret or cover it up) morally equivalent or almost so (even if you are initially on the receiving end). Of course, if your actions have nothing to do with this or you have no moral qualms with the kind of mafia-style business that goes on anyway (which is a legitimate if strange view of how our world should be run) then you would have no problem with your decision, and I’m sorry for wasting your time by pointing this out.
Anyway, good luck in the future and be happy

I loved your videos, me and my girlfriend watched them all laughing and marvelling at how you managed to make something so funny and watchable when most of the lip-sync stuff out there looks so tired and lame.
I’m sorry to see you’ve taken the videos down, simply because now we’ll never see them again! One thing I loved about your videos was that I’ve pulled exactly the same kind of moves secretly in my bedroom, looking in a mirror with a fake microphone, whilst listening to some cheesy song. It was so funny and brilliant to see someone else doing the same shit!
Favourites included: Respect (of course) Quit Playing Games With My Heart (for the actions on that line!), Toxic and Mama (for the signs… genius!)
Good luck in the future, I’m sure if you felt it was time to remove the videos, then that’s the right decision. I hope there was no outside pressure on you, and that you just felt it had run it’s course.

Pomme and Kelly must have sold the copyright of their image to some company! How come they took away their picture? A secondary web site managed by the fans should be created with their story and pictures taken from the vids.

Pomme and Kelly, I found out what had happened from the Rockett Science blog. When I was at law school, there was an accepted defence to copyright, and that was parody. It was seen as an extension of free speech. Unfortunately, some bullying lawyers out there have an ace up their sleeves: they know that you have to go to court to find out whether the defence works. I’m saddened to hear that you’ve had to remove your videos, as I am always a little upset to know that something that made so many people happy had to come to a close.

Pomme en Kelly zitten bij mij op school en ik weet dus dat ze echt gestopt zijn omdat ze niet zo nodig beroemd hoeven te worden! Ze zijn door allerlei TV-programma’s gevraagd maar daar hadden ze gewoon geen zin in.
Wel zijn hun filmpjes uitgezonden door Editie-NL, Jeugdjournaal, NSE v Talpa, De wereld draait door, Life and Cooking en heel veel buitenlandse programma’s, o.a. Goodmorning America, GiGa-Tv, CBS-News, Fox News en weet ik veel. Deze week staan ze in de Hitkrant, ze stonden ook in NRC.Next, de Telegraaf en nog een paar bladen.
Het is allemaal begonnen als een grap en ze hebben zichzelf niet eens aangemeld voor Google-Idols. Op hun website hebben ze in een paar weken zo’n 500.000 bezoekers gehad, op http://www.video.google nu nog elke dag zo’n 100.000!!
De geruchten van die Amerikanen over gedoe met platenmaatschappijen en rechten is allemaal flauwekul. Pomme en Kelly hebben Google Idols gewonnen en zijn er nu wel klaar mee. Zo, dat wou ik even kwijt.

If you don't speak Dutch…. a girl named Ashley just left a comment. Translated through the Babel Fish website, she says she is a schoolmate of Pomme & Kelly. And that this had nothing to do with rights and music companies. Its hard to understand the Babelfish translation, but she says it just got way out of control for them, with all kinds of tv shows from around the world asking for interviews and it just didn't make sense anymore. Strange coincidence, because that's exactly what Pomme & Kelly say in their letter!
Maybe the world should stop looking for conspiracies and admit that these two girls are just way older and way more cool than us. They had hundreds of thousands of visitors. Did they take advertisements and make piles of money? No. Did they tour the world's television shows and brag to their friends? No. Did they sell their image? No. They went back to being girls. They took back the privacy that belongs to them. How many people do you know that are that strong inside? How many people do you know that are just that cool?
They did something wonderful and we all fell in love with them – they made us laugh, but more important, they made us feel like we were connected to them, as if we knew them. That's why this website is a great thing, because people can leave thoughts and treasures behind, just like you might leave a rose on the ground after losing someone you love. There is even a webmaster that does the occasional small bit of weeding in the garden!
They are lost to you, and lost to me, and that is unfortunate for us. But we are all so very, very lucky that we can still smile

In response to Dougs comment: There is no reason to remove the videos though. We are also asked not to copy and repost the videos anywhere. (Which I respect the request) Well, I noticed that is too late. Some of them are already making the rounds. So if it is not the labels or some threat from somewhere, why all of a sudden just halt the whole show and disappear into thin air? Was it because they were making fun of songs that they considered lame? Yep, as long as there is obscurity in the reasons there will always be questions.

Doug left an excellent and loving comment that raises our perception of what has happened. Something powerful has hapened. It will take a while before we know what excatly but we already know it has to do with grace, innocence, freedom, talent, irony, humour, fun, musical intelligence, harmony, alchemy, plus a sheer joy of being.
It may also take a little while for Pomme and Kelly to figure out what is happening for themselves and what they are now going to do with their talent and the love and expectation from their fans/followers/lovers. A bit like unexpectedly discovering the opening of a gold mine or the secret of the universe. It certainly is a massive turning point in their lives, an unexpected one. That they would like to keep some control over what is happening is understandable and wise.
Pomme and Kelly are not yet ready to step into the arena and face the lions. This is big thing for two very young unprepared souls.
Let them celebrate their new found land as they please. That their site is still on is a good sign that they are still attentive to what we feel and say and I believe they do read the comments.
We all know, intuitively, they will do something great with their talent, whether they opt for the responsibility of fame, trademark their name or choose a quiet lyfestyle.
Thank you Pomme and Kelly for having created such a graceful commotion with your freedom, humour and beauty.
The only bothering thing is that you two are extremely addictive and I am hooked. I am afraid the only cure is more of you!
